Discord Community

For members only!

Our Discord channel is used predominantly as a place for members to share information between themselves.  If you want an answer from BB Team, please use the support system.  See here for our thinking behind this.

The BB Discord group has some of the most pro-active, intelligent and successful Advantage Players in the country. 98% of UK gamblers are losers, 1.99% are small time winners, and many of the remaining 0.01% can be found in our Discord group.

Discord is the best multi-channel forum software available.  You’ll want to install the Discord app and use this invite link.  There are apps available for desktop and mobile.

When you join you won’t immediately have access to the all important threads, you will need to find and link your user ID by….

  1. Turning on the developer mode by going to your profile > Advanced and switch it on.   You may need to restart your app after doing this.
  2. Then go to the three dots (top right of your profile page on mobile and “Copy User ID”.
  3. Then go to your Global settings on the BB site and paste your 18 digit user ID into the Discord Settings box.

Please keep things honest, open and friendly. Err on the side of friendliness.  All bets should be discussed, even those that look -EV can have meta-reasons why they are long term value.  Ask questions.  No-one knows everything – one of the reasons behind our success is knowing how much we don’t know and not being afraid to ask dumb questions.  We want you guys and girls to be part of one of the best advantage play and professional gambling discussion groups in the country.

For those of you who haven’t used Discord before, there is a beginner’s guide that can be found here.

Discord Community Guidelines and Terms of Service

Discord is not a right that comes with a bookiebashing subscription. It is a priviledge that is conditional on appropriate behaviour from the user. The below provides guidelines that govern user behaviour on Discord and outline what is and isn’t acceptable in our community. Many of these things are common sense. Some key prohibited behaviours include:

  • No doxxing or harassment (especially threats on someone’s life/property) or encouraging self harm
  • No spamming, phishing, or attempting to steal another user’s account (broadly speaking, one could consider this “no spamming or scamming”)
  • No sharing pirated or copyrighted content
  • Discriminatory jokes and language related to one’s race, age, gender, disability, etc. are prohibited.
  • No abuse will be tolerated towards bookiebashing staff. This includes excessive use of emojis, or emojis used to mock or in sarcasm (such as the laughing face). If bookiebashing staff are engaging it will be to make legitimate points under a standard that is held much higher than members. Undermining us to other members is a tangible threat to the stability of the community on Discord and to the perception of bookiebashing to newcomers. Anyone guilty of abuse towards bookiebashing staff will find access to discord removed without warning.
  • If you have any comments or feedback about how bookiebashing manage the community (from marketing to community size to the cost of membership to how we allocate our finite resources to what times of the day we should work) please email [email protected]. We will not engage with users on Discord and we will delete all posts on these subjects as a public platform is not an appropriate medium. We have historically had a major problem with this, to the point we questioned whether to bother with a Discord community. Everyone will have a different opinion as to how they would manage a community such as BB and without visibility of the balance sheet or the monthly join/cancellation decay rate or resource availability it is an inappropriate conversation to have. You wouldn’t go out for a meal and then call the restaurant owner over to your table to argue about the cost of the rent or the number of diners in the restaurant or the opening hours.
