A Consistent Grind, a Profitable September: Member Review

At Bookie Bashing, we love seeing how members use our tools to build their own edge — week in, week out. September was a reminder that value betting isn’t about instant wins or lucky breaks; it’s about discipline, structure, and playing the long game.

This month, one of our long-time members shared an honest look at their September: a month filled with near-misses, second-place heartbreaks, cold streaks on the 2ups… yet a solid £1,138 profit when the dust settled.

Their approach is a great example of how consistency beats emotion: methodically working through the Golf Tracker midweek, balancing variance and ROI through Early Payout doubles, and adapting to new challenges (like account restrictions) without losing momentum.

Here’s their full review: a transparent, data-driven look at a real bettor’s month with Bookie Bashing.

September Betting Review with Bookie Bashing

September was quite an inconsistent month in terms of results using the Bookie Bashing software, with plenty of near misses, a few frustrating 2nd places on the golf, but ultimately a profitable month overall.

My weekly routine has settled into a nice rhythm: I take golf bets on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, usually spending about an hour each night going through the tracker and taking roughly 12-15% of the field per tournament. This is generally a mix of odds; however, I prefer to take most golfers below 100/1, with a couple of longshots too.

On the football side, I check the early payout tracker most days — either before work or later in the evening — basically whenever I get a free window to check what’s value. I tend to combine the teams into doubles in order to compound the EV. Whilst bigger multiples would likely result in a higher ROI, I quite like the balance of variance vs ROI that doubles bets give me.

Week 1 kicked off with the Irish Open – I had 9 golfers from the tracker but only managed one place with Ángel Ayora. Combined with a clean sweep of losses on the 2ups, it was a slow start and a £840 overall loss.

Things turned around in Week 2 with a strong showing across the Procore Championship and PGA Championship. Six golfers placed, including a painful runner-up in Ben Griffin, which in total landed me £1,148 profit. The 2ups still ran cold, dropping just £34, but golf carried the week.

In Week 3, the French Open brought a steadier result – 2 places, including another painful second place finish with Elvis Smylie, leaving me £200 up overall. The 2ups ended slightly positively with an overall profit of £63, helped by a Club Brugge & Auxerre double landing.

Week 4 was Ryder Cup week, so I only placed one speculative bet on Ben Griffin (-£100) that I took from one of the Bookie Bashing posts on X. The 2ups, however, finally turned around – 19 bets with 4 winners, including doubles like Crystal Palace & Coventry, Bodo/Glimt & Dinamo Zagreb, and Sevilla & Brest, returning £701 profit.

The main downside this month was my Bet365 account unfortunately finally being restricted (long overdue), which will change how I approach things moving forward. The plan now is to spend some more time exploring BB’s tools for shops and exchanges to keep trying to turn a profit each month. The mixture of focusing on golf and the early payout tracker has suited my betting around work and other commitments over the past year or so, however I know there are plenty more viable strategies and edges to be taken advantage of.

All told, September finished with £1,138.31 profit — although it could have been far higher if my golfers would just stop finishing 2nd each week!

This kind of month perfectly captures what Bookie Bashing is all about — realistic, data-driven, and sustainable betting. It’s not every week that the putts drop or the 2ups land, but over time, the edge adds up.

With a structured routine, patience, and smart use of tools like the Golf Tracker, and  Early Payout Tracker our members continue to find value where the markets least expect it.
